Nursery (Age 2-3)

At Talbot Heath Nursery, we create a truly home-from-home atmosphere that extends the warmth and familiarity of a loving environment for girls from age two. Central to our philosophy is child-led learning, enriched with inspiring topics that engage and enthuse young minds.

Our stimulating environment is thoughtfully designed to promote all seven areas of the Early Years curriculum. We offer multi-sensory learning opportunities that cater to various learning styles, ensuring every child can thrive. We place a high value on communication and language development, focusing particularly on oracy, retelling stories, and nursery rhymes, which helps our children articulate their thoughts and feelings.

In our nursery we emphasise our core values of curious minds, adventurous spirits and generous hearts.

Curiosity is at the heart of our approach as we follow the interests of our children, fostering a love for exploration and discovery. Our dedicated specialist EYFS teacher guides them through this engaging journey. Additionally, every Friday, our Forest School sessions take place amidst our stunning woodland landscape, allowing children to embrace nature while learning.

We promote a spirit of adventure and a ‘have a go attitude’ encouraging independence and resilience; creating a safe environment where children are encouraged to assess, consider, and take risks confidently. Our aim is to instil a lifelong love of learning, enabling every child to blossom and thrive.

Through everything we nurture generous hearts, promoting a kindness curriculum, encouraging children to share, listen and develop strong relationships with peers and adults, ultimately preparing them for a bright and compassionate future.

As well as accepting Early Years funding and child care vouchers, Nursery fees are VAT- exempt, offering parents financial peace of mind. Our Nursery is open from 8am – 5.30pm in term time.
