Talbot Heath and the PSS to Fundraise for Exciting Outdoor Learning Projects

Talbot Heath is excited to announce a new fundraising initiative in partnership with the Parent Staff Society (PSS) aimed at enhancing the outdoor experiences of our students. Together, we are committed to creating outdoor spaces that inspire exploration, learning, and a deep connection to nature.

One of our recent achievements, made possible by the generous support of the PSS, was the creation of The Hive – a dedicated outdoor adventure playground for our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) students. This wonderful play area allows our youngest learners to enjoy the outdoors and develop their adventurous spirits safely, no matter the weather. With eco-friendly design at its core, The Hive is both fun and sustainable, providing the perfect environment for exploration and play.

Building on this success, our next project will be the installation of an outdoor classroom on Boarders Green (subject to planning approval). Designed to blend seamlessly into the school grounds, this outdoor learning space will be accessible to all pupils across the school, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in our Outdoor Learning curriculum. The classroom will even feature a living roof, which will encourage biodiversity and provide a hands-on educational resource for students interested in ecology and environmental science.

Looking ahead, our future fundraising goals include a Fairy Trail for the Junior School, outdoor hideaway shelters for Senior School students, and an investment in infrared cameras to observe and better understand the wildlife we’re fortunate to share our campus with—both day and night.

We’re thrilled about these upcoming projects and invite our community to join us at our planned fundraising events throughout the year. Your support will help us continue to enrich the outdoor experiences and education of our students, fostering a lifelong appreciation for nature and sustainability.

We look forward to seeing you at our events and working together to achieve these new and exciting goals!
