Following her victory, Jemima became the GB Schools Biathlon Champion just before the Easter school break. She then embarked on a journey to Barcelona, where she proudly represented Britain as part of the Pentathlon GB U17 team. Her consistent performances across multiple disciplines shone through.
Against a formidable international field of 34 athletes, the competition commenced with fencing, where Jemima secured a commendable 8th place. She maintained her momentum in the obstacle course, achieving another 8th-place finish. Her dedication to improving her swimming skills paid off spectacularly, as she clinched 4th place in the 200m event. These results positioned Jemima 6th at the start of the Laser Run.
Then, with remarkable determination, Jemima sighted and overtook her competitors one by one, hauling in an impressive 41 seconds to secure a well-deserved third place on the podium.
This outstanding achievement is a testament to the importance of effective weekly planning, training consistency and communication with the support team around Jemima.
We are proud to support Jemima’s journey and see her inspiration to our upcoming swimmers and pentathletes training at Talbot Heath School.
CONGRATULATIONS JEMIMA!
