A huge Ents-sized thank you goes to the Talbot Heath PSS for funding the new library furniture in the Senior school. Fourteen blue sofa-seats have been added to the reading area of the Mary Broad Library and are much appreciated by the pupils who now use them during their library meets, reading lessons and the weekly book club, which is run by Mrs Wakeling and Librarian Mrs Harty. Thank you!
Another thank-you goes to Lower 4 pupil Eliana E who recently won £100 worth of book tokens for the school library. Eliana, an avid reader herself, completed an online survey run by Open Books – a new initiative to reach the next generation of book industry talent – and was one of two winners to receive the prize. Congratulations!
