Congratulations to the TH Under-11 team, who just returned from the World School Games Swimming as runners-up. Many who competed were a year too young, and were initially sent to gain experience; nonetheless they gave a superb account of themselves. The event was held at the London Aquatic Centre against schools from around the globe.
The Academy Team have also managed to secure a swim clinic with 5 X Olympian and current World Record holder in 50m Breast-stroke, Alia Atkinson, who will be attending the academy on June 26th and 27th. Alia was the first female Black World Swimming Champion and is the current Athlete Ambassador for World Aquatics and her aim is to encourage more religious and race backgrounds into the sport of swimming.
