Year 5 dressed as Victorians for a visit to the Russell-Cotes Museum recently, all participating in a Victorian Christmas Experience. This was the culmination of their learning on the topic on the Victorian Era in Humanities. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Christmas traditions that the Victorians introduced [thanks to Prince Albert and Charles Dickens among others] and Year 5’s knowledge of the period was very impressive.
Staff and visitors to the museum commented on how polite, engaged and knowledgeable the pupils were – well done TH ambassadors! The singing around the piano was a very special moment and a great way to start the Christmas celebrations.
