Congratulations to all of the girls who took part in the cross-country relays held at Clayesmore this week.
The Year 5 team of Nyah H, Ava S, Ophelia G-C and Jemima B won the Year 5 team race. Placed second overall were the year 6 team of Yasmin G, Caidee S, Alex S and Blossom H. Well done to both junior teams.
The Year 8 team of Theia B, Aggie M, Isla H and Jemima C also won the Year 8 team race. Although not being placed in the top three, the Year 7 team won very well; they consisted of Romilly H, Holly J, Amelia B and AiVy T.
Mrs Newcombe, who supported the girls said, ‘Every one made a brilliant effort but AiVy (Year 5) and Blossom (Year 4) deserve a special mention for running two years above their age groups (after some runners were unable to run at short notice) to allow TH to go with complete teams for the relay . AiVy did superbly considering she ran in a senior school team and did not even know the girls she was running with!’
