Last week, 10 members of the Talbot Heath community were lucky enough to head off to Wimbledon to spend the day watching the tennis. The school had tickets for Number One court and saw great matches including Grigor Dimitrov v Gael Monfils. They were very fortunate as Court 1 has a roof and therefore were not affected by the rain which dominated much of the day. The highlight of the day was watching British player Sonay Kartal v Coco Gauff; it was a great atmosphere on the court with vocal support for both players!
The girls enjoyed soaking up the traditional sights of Wimbledon, visiting the shop, seeing the huge queues for Strawberries and Cream and seeing the covers on the outside courts. Thanks go to Mrs Camp and Mrs Chapleo for organising and accompanying the visit.
