It has really been quite a special year for the in-house Master Chef Competition, where standards have risen higher than the perfect souffle. The six heats culminated in a hard-fought and absolutely fabulous finale!
The panel of judges had quite a task ahead in order to sort and rank the eight finalists: menus were perused, candidates quizzed, dishes savoured and very difficult decisions made over the course of two hours.
Huge congratulations go to Agatha M who was awarded the Master Chef Title for her menu of chicken supreme, mashed potato arancini, roasted peppers and asparagus, followed by a mini caramel flan.
The runner-up was Emmie R for her Katsu curry and ice-cream cookie sandwich, and third place went to Eliana E, who cooked up caramelised onion, squash and spinach pithivier, with orange glazed carrots and dauphinoise potatoes, followed by a chocolate and raspberry cheesecake.
All the judges agreed, they were all an absolute treat for the tastebuds! Thanks go to Mrs Moran for organising this superb opportunity for the girls to showcase their skills and to Mr Annett for his assistance and photography.
