Talbot Heath School is seeking a compassionate Registered School Nurse to provide expert care for pupils aged 2-18, to ensure their physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. This role involves assessing and managing a range of health needs, including long-term conditions, injuries, illnesses, and mental health concerns. The Registered School Nurse will also lead health education initiatives, administer first aid, manage medications and NHS vaccination programs, and play an important role in safeguarding all our students. The ideal candidate will have current NMC registration, experience in paediatric or school healthcare, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be:

●       Be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and ideally experience in a school or paediatric healthcare setting.

●       Possess strong clinical skills in first aid, medicine management, and health assessment, with the ability to manage long-term conditions and mental health concerns.

●       Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with pupils, parents, staff, and external professionals.

●       Have a proactive approach to health education and promotion, delivering engaging sessions on topics such as mental health, hygiene, and self-care.

●       Be empathetic, resilient, and able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care and support for students’ wellbeing.

In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the efficient operation of the school’s financial systems, including billing, credit control, debt recovery, purchase ledger management, and banking duties. You will ensure accurate and timely financial processing, maintain organised pupil finance records, and contribute to the smooth running of day-to-day financial activities. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a collaborative team, supporting the financial integrity of the school while delivering an exceptional standard of service to staff, parents, and external organisations.
