Congratulations to Talbot Heath student Dori S who achieved one hundred percent across two out of three GCSE maths papers, only dropping four marks from her entire score. Dori, who achieved gold in the UKMT challenge earlier this year, and qualified for the Intermediate Olympiad, attained eight level 9s and an 8 in her GCSEs overall. Further successes in the school included Lucy H who secured nine level 9s; and Sophia H, who achieved seven level 9s, and in languages, the Chinese, German and Russian GCSE students all received a level 9.
The Head, Angharad Holloway, thanked the staff for all of their hard work and commitment and said, ‘I am delighted with the excellent GCSE results of our pupils, especially in the face of such adversity. Our pupils achieved the highest number of grade 9s ever – a significant achievement in a year when the percentage of grades 8 and 9 has decreased nationally. All of our staff and pupils should feel very proud of their achievements.’
