Congratulations to Upper 4 pupil, Eliana E, who returned from the Optimist World Championships in Mar del Plata, Argentina just before Christmas. She participated in a very successful Regatta, being placed 49th overall and 12th Girl in the World.
Eliana was privileged to be chosen to read the Sailor’s Oath on behalf of the competitors, in English, at the opening ceremony – it was read in Argentinian by the head of the Argentinian team.
The British Team, including Eliana, was placed 5th overall; the highest position that the British team has been placed for at least 20 years.
The school community wish her every success for her future sailing endeavours.
