Congratulations to Upper 4 pupil Claudia K and her dog Ozzi, who have qualified for the AV (Any Variety) YKC (Young Kennel Club) Working and Pastoral Stakes at Crufts 2023. Ozzi is a mantle Great Dane and is 1 year and 9 months old, he is in the working category as Great Danes were originally bred to hunt boar. Ozzi’s full name is Ozvaldo and his show name is Ozzy Osbourne Di Stella Ardens at Stevarah!
Claudia said how proud she is to have qualified as she only started showing him in this category late last year; he was awarded second place at his first show and from then on, he’s won a series of first place positions. She said, 'Although he acts tough in the show ring, he is a big baby at home and curls up on the sofa and goes straight to sleep. He is the kindest, softest, sweetest dog ever, and for such a large breed and being a dominant male, I am lucky to have him like this.'
