Pre-Prep Go Full STEAM Ahead

This term, the TH Pre-Prep pupils eagerly participated in their first STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) session in the Hub.
Year 2 explored pneumatics, discovering how air pressure can be used to make objects move. Meanwhile, Year 1 took on the challenge of helping Jack parachute down from the beanstalk, gaining hands-on insight into gravity and air resistance.
In the afternoon, Reception pupils stepped into the shoes of town planners, designing their own towns beside a railway line and learning how trains operate using signals. Mr. Morris was so impressed by their creativity and teamwork that the winning team of Reception pupils earned the honor of signing the prestigious ‘Engineering Chair of Excellence,’ typically reserved for much older students. A promising glimpse into the bright future of these budding engineers!
Thanks go to Mr Morris and the DT department for delivering another inspirational and fun lesson.
