On Monday 30th September the group of Lower 6 Sports Leaders went to Buddens Activity Centre for a team building day.
They started the day faced with the task of the Jacob’s ladder where they had to work in teams using a variety of skills in order to climb to the top of the ladder. following this, they used their communication skills to complete a blindfolded challenge ready for their next activity: the Nightline! As a team they had to walk the course using the rope as a guide and had to go through an obstacle course which great fun – along the way they had to search and collect ducks to gain extra points.
After lunch and to finish the day, the trainee sports leaders completed a variety of team building activities working on team work, communication, risk taking, critical thinking, personal challenge for which they successfully scored 15 points out of 18! The day really brought the group together and helped the girls to think about skills required for the Sports Leader course.
Thanks go to Mrs Hawes for organising and accompanying the visit.
