The YMCA organised another successful Big Sleep Out recently, which took place in the Junior School playground at Talbot Heath school. It raised a superb £10,000 for YMCA Bournemouth – a homelessness project, which helps rough sleepers secure accommodation and a positive long-term future.
Just under 40 people took part in the fundraising event, and despite a 15-minute downpour at around 1am, everyone stayed dry all night thanks to ground sheets and tarpaulins.
A special mention goes to the TH grounds team and Adam Poole, as well as the fundraisers themselves and the YMCA staff for their vital work and support.
