The Talbot Heath school community have marked the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, with special assemblies in both Junior and Senior school this week. The union flag will be flown at half-mast until the day of the state funeral next week, and pupils and staff have been invited to share their thoughts and memories in a Talbot Heath book of condolence.
Mrs Holloway said, ‘Queen Elizabeth II was a truly remarkable woman, whose sense of duty, humility and steadfastness in an ever-changing world distinguished her from other leading figures around the world. We shall pay tribute to her life and legacy and look ahead to the next phase of the nation’s history, as King Charles III takes on her mantel.
‘Our community reflects at this historic moment.’
