Last week, the school held an exciting Upper 5 and Sixth Form Careers event. THe Big Interview was a chance for the girls to experience a LIVE 1:1 interview, with an employer from the local business community. For most of the girls, this was their first ever interview situation and there was palpable, nervous excitement as they lined up for their turn. The girls had fifteen minute slots with employers from a wide range of professions: dentistry, finance, business, hospitality, the armed forces, recruitment and education to name a few.
Without exception they came out beaming, so proud of what they had achieved. The interviewers gave fantastic feedback about the girls and Talbot Heath school; the main message was that TH girls were confident, articulate, very well prepared, interesting, diverse and very employable. It was a fantastic morning and staff felt very proud of the girls. This was a brand new event for TH and endeavour to repeat it for the next year group. Grateful thanks go to Debs Barham for coordinating the event, and to all of the interviewers who generously gave up their time.
