On Wednesday 4th May Talbot Heath hosted a This Girl Can area event for year 4 girls from Bournemouth and Christchurch primary schools. The aim was to provide a fun, inclusive event for girls to improve their self-esteem, confidence, and try some different sports. 98 girls from across 11 different schools attended the day.
The day was organised by School Games organiser, Sarah Dunsford, and supported by Head of Sport, Mrs Lindon and a number of keen Upper 4 sports leaders who helped to lead some of the rounders activities.
Students also enjoyed a football session run by AFC Bournemouth, Tennis taster from Atorro sports, and cricket session run by Dorset Cricket. It was a day full of fun and atmosphere with lots of sunshine. Talbot Heath sports leaders were a credit to themselves and the school!
